Training Course Information
Accredited Mediation Training & Assessment - a much sought after qualification - CIArb Mediator Status. Comments from previous trainees:
"The Accredited Mediation course was excellent in preparing candidates for the assessment in a very diligent and practical manner. Candidates will gain great insight to the challenges presented by Mediation from two experienced practitioners who are also trainers of the highest quality."
Intensive training on 7,8,9,11 and 12th June 2012. Assessments will take place on Sat 28 and Sun 29 July 2012. Assessment only is also available to qualified mediators via an external approved body - 40+ hours certified training detial must be submitted to office prior to assessment registration. There will be a Refresher Day available for any mediator (certified 40hrs +) who wishes to avail of the CIArb Assessment on 27th July 2012.
The course provides a more balanced and innovative approach to mediation training, not seen in any other UK training. The training not only gives candidates the right skill set, but also prepares them for building an independent ADR practice and it is therefore suited to aspiring mediators, conflict resolution professionals, and arbitrators looking to broaden their ADR practice offering.
The training comprises 5 full days of skills-based learning which is founded on 25 years of mediation practice, unique academic research and 10 years of experience in delivering effective training and development of professionals from all occupations. It is especially suited to those who have already a role in dispute resolution and who would like to take their skills to a new level of competence and effectiveness.
The training is delivered by Facilit8 and the principal trainers are Amanda Bucklow FCIArb (Mediation) and training partner, Charles Middleton-Smith.
Candidates will participate as a Mediator in two mock-mediations of one-hour duration and will also be involved in role-playing as clients. Candidates will be assessed in three categories: people skills, process skills and the management of the mediation.
